Today I had the pleasure of receiving His Excellency Issa Kassissieh, Ambassador of Palestine to the Holy See, along with the Deputy Pro-Rector and Pro-Rector for International Relations, Professor Giuseppe Ciccarone.
A meeting of dialogue and shared vision on the role that Sapienza University has played for years in Palestine, through scientific activities, archaeological excavations, and research projects that promote the cultural and social development of the region.
We paid particular attention to the civilian population of Gaza, confirming our commitment to ensuring education, healthcare, and growth opportunities. We will soon further strengthen our collaboration with the signing of an agreement with Bethlehem University.
An authentic and constructive exchange that strengthens Sapienza’s role as a meeting place between cultures and as a space for concrete commitment to a just peace, founded on knowledge, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
