The Embassy continues its efforts to strengthen ties between Catholic institutions in Rome—particularly in the fields of education and healthcare—and their partner institutions in the Holy Land.
Last week, senior officials from St. Joseph General Hospital in Jerusalem participated in an intensive two-day workshop covering various specialties, aimed at reinforcing bilateral relations.
Bethlehem University is also following this path. Thanks to the Embassy’s facilitation and commitment, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed, fostering bilateral cooperation with various Catholic universities, including LUMSA (Libera Università Maria Santissima Assunta), the Salesian Pontifical University, and the Pontifical Gregorian University.
In addition, the Embassy facilitated different interviews with the Catholic media agencies, in its premises, for the Mayor of Bethlehem, Maher Canavati, in the aftermath of his short public audience with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
