On Sunday, August 31, 2025, in San Giorgio del Sannio, just minutes from the historic city of Benevento, during a formal public ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Issa Kassissieh was awarded the “MARZANI 2025 International Journalism and Literary Prize” as a mark of appreciation and recognition for the dedication, competence, and perseverance with which he carries out his delicate and indispensable diplomatic mission as a steadfast representative of a martyred people, and for his commendable efforts in promoting peace in Palestine and denouncing the absurdity of war.
The 18th edition of the “MARZANI International Journalism and Literary Prize”, held under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the European Commission Representation in Italy, the Campania Region, the Province of Benevento, the University of Sannio, the Order of Journalists of Campania, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts of Benevento, and the Municipality of San Giorgio del Sannio, was this year dedicated to solidarity with the victims of Gaza and across the Middle East.
